Unit price calculator

Compare up to 5 deals

Enter the price and quantity for both deals to see which one wins.

The simple idea

How to compare unit prices

Unit price strips away quantity confusion. For a regular product, divide the price by its quantity. For a multipack, first multiply the number of items in the pack by the quantity per item.

Price ÷ total quantity = unit price

Bigger isn't always cheaper

A larger box can cost more per ounce or item. Compare the unit price instead of trusting the displayed quantity.

Multipacks made easy

Turn on the multipack option for 24 cans × 12 fl oz or 12 rolls × 150 sheets. Enter the number of items in the pack and quantity per item; we calculate the total.

Different units, normalized

Compare oz with lb, g with kg, and mL with L. Compatible measures convert automatically.

Real shopping situations

Comparing sale bundles

For “2 for $10,” enter $10 as the price, turn on the multipack option, and enter 2 as the number of items in the pack. Do the same for “3 for $14.” Enter how much each item contains under “Quantity per item.”

Compare like with like

The calculator compares compatible units and warns you when they describe different things. Weight cannot be fairly compared with volume, for example. Shopper-friendly units such as pods, rolls, sheets, bottles, and cans are treated as comparable individual items.

Yes. Liters, milliliters, and U.S. liquid-volume units can be compared automatically.
